Interactive Ontario’s Career Fair for Emerging Black Professionals and Students
On Monday March 13, 2023 from 11AM – 6PM, join Interactive Ontario for our annual Career Fair for Emerging Black Professionals and Students . This program was developed to connect Ontario employers with emerging and qualified Black talent in the Ontario video game/immersive interactive digital media space. So whether you are an Ontario based company looking for a driven and passionate career seeker, or if you are a self-identifying Black career seeker between the ages of 19-35, and a resident of Ontario, Interactive Ontario’s Career Fair for Emerging Black Professionals and Students is right for you.
The Black Youth Action Plan works to increase opportunities for Black youth and families and work towards eliminating systemic, race-based disparities across the province. For the last four years, Interactive Ontario has worked diligently with the organizers of Black Youth Action Plan program to support postsecondary education and career development.

The video game/immersive interactive digital media sector in Ontario is made up of hundreds of motivated companies, employing thousands of immensely talented individuals, and we want you to be one of them!
The Career Fair for Emerging Black Professionals and Students is broken down into 30 minute sessions, in which each employer will deliver a 15 minute presentation of their company, and career seekers will have ample opportunity to ask questions. This event will offer detailed insight into each company’s hiring process, culture and industry mission, giving each one of our registered career seekers valuable knowledge on their potential future employer.
To be eligible for registration, you must self-identify as Black, be between the ages of 19 – 35 years old and a resident of Ontario.

As part of the IO Career Fair, all registrants will be submitting their resumes for future consideration from Ontario based employers. All IO Members are eligible to register for access to our Resume Database, which is a searchable platform with all of our career seekers resumes/CV for you to see. The Database will be made available to all registered studios beginning March 10th, 2023.

Program Information
What: Interactive Ontario’s Career Fair for Emerging Black Professionals and Students is a virtual event that connects employers with career seekers across the Ontario video game and interactive digital media industries.
Who: All those who are self identifying black career seekers, between the ages of 19-35, who are residents of Ontario are eligible to register.
When: The Career Fair will take place Monday March 13, 11AM – 6pm ET.
Where: This virtual fair will take place over Zoom Webinar. You will receive an email with the invite after registering for the fair via google form.
How: Before the fair, career seekers are encouraged to complete the training modules and watch each career profile. The event will be broken up into 30 minute slots for the employers. 15 minutes for the employer to present and 15 minutes for the career seekers to ask their burning questions!
