Level Up Showcase This Friday!
Level Up Showcase is this Friday! Post-secondary students in their final year from across Ontario will be showcasing their amazing talent in this one-of-a-kind event. Over 2,000 attendees will get the chance to go hands-on with a wide variety of student-made games, and offer invaluable feedback on their capstone projects. This yearly public exhibition takes place April 19th, 2024 from 4-10 pm at the Westin Harbour Castle.
Interactive Ontario and The Lodgge will be in attendance, so be sure to drop by our booth to enter for your chance to win a next-generation gaming console!

City of Toronto Creative Industries Survey & Consultation
The City of Toronto will be hosting the “Creative Industries Virtual Consultation” on April 24, 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. This consultation will help inform the City’s approach to supporting creative industries as it is working on its Action Plans for Toronto’s Economy for Toronto’s Culture Sector.

Cultural Worker’s Individual Revenue Survey
The Cultural Human Resources Council (CHRC) has launched the Cultural Worker’s Individual Revenue Survey. This market research uses 2023 as the reference to gather information on various revenue portfolios from cultural workers, including those in the video game and XR industry. Please read the information and instruction package prior to accessing the survey. All participants will receive the analyzed data from this survey free of charge. You may also attend the information session and data-thon held on April 23rd at Noon EDT for additional information. This innovative survey aims to capture often-missed blind spots in today’s gig economy.
Toronto Game Jam 2024 Registrations are Open!
TOJam 2024 will be running a hybrid event this year, with virtual and physical attendees both registering at the link below. For those in-person, George Brown College will play host to the jam. The event kicks off Friday, May 10, 10:00 am until Sunday, May 12, 10:00 pm
Registration for in-person closes April 23rd, with virtual attendance closing May 7th.

The inaugural QT Leaders Creatives in Tech Program is a transformative six-month program, powered by the Canada Media Fund, and is tailored for experienced professionals in the creative tech sector aiming to ascend to leadership roles.
