IO Connect

IO Connect is the networking event series for the video game and interactive digital media (IDM) sector in Ontario. With a focus on connecting professionals, showcasing industry-leading talent, and celebrating the growth of the techno-creative sector in our province, IO Connect delivers the best of what the Ontario IDM industry has to offer.

Our June 2024 event (detailed below) builds on the success of the 4 IO Connects that Interactive Ontario hosted in 2022-23.

IO Connect: Holiday Mixer 2024 (December 2024)

On Wednesday, December 4th, 2024 from 6:30 pm ET, Interactive Ontario, in partnership with Music Publishers Canada, is thrilled to announce the return of IO Connect!

IO Connect: Holiday Mixer 2024 will be an evening of celebration of Ontario’s video game, XR, interactive digital media, and music industry talent in Ontario. This year’s event will take place at Arcadian Loft, one of Toronto’s most sought-after event venues.

Impact Forum & Cocktail Mixer 2025

IO’s Impact Forum is an annual in-presence policy forum, bringing together Interactive Ontario’s Expand and Torchbearer Members and board directors, to discuss growth opportunities and policy development impacting the Interactive Digital Media (video game/XR) Sector in Ontario. The forum is led by the Advocacy Committee followed by an exclusive cocktail mixer.

Who will be at the IO Impact Forum Cocktail Mixer?

  • 40-50 key stakeholders (government leaders and policy makers, sponsors of the Impact Forum). In 2023, we had Minister Lumsden and Councillor Carroll as special guests.
