Jennifer McIlroy
Founding Principal – Protonic
Jennifer is an award-winning professor of business strategy, entrepreneurship and business mentor, who led the Centre of Entrepreneurship at The School of Communication, Media, Arts, and Design at Centennial College. In the business world, she helmed global teams in complex branding and marketing campaigns and gained a reputation for optimizing marketing units to align with overall business goals. An IDM Pitch Training coach since 2016, Jennifer focuses on excavating the individual style of each participant rather than imposing a formulaic, templated methodology. In this way, the participant develops a flexible and responsive acumen around engaging the audience in a shared vision about their product. This leads to more genuine advocacy and support on both sides of the pitching podium.
Expertise
It is essential for a pitch to be as natural as possible for it to be effective. A pitch needs to be credible and also tap into the intangible value of the product to make lasting connection with the audience. The aim is to create a lasting impression about the game as well as its team. I have written, delivered, led and coached the pitching of products, ideas, campaigns and programs across most industries including digital media, advertising, healthcare, government, luxury goods, academia and gaming. My support lies in helping teams craft and hone pitches that live beyond the script and podium transaction and instead becomes the basis for conversations of all kinds in different formats and forums. Memorably.
