The Nordic Video Game industry is active and thriving! Home to companies like Rovio (Angry Birds), Supercell (Clash Royale), and Remedy (Control), the region offers lucrative opportunities for Canadian studios looking to connect with potential partners, publishers, and distributors in the area.

Interactive Ontario, in collaboration with the provincial trade associations members of the Canadian Interactive Alliance (CIAIC), the Trade Commissioner Service of Canada (TCS) and with the support of Ontario Creates, is organizing a virtual mission to Nordic Game 2021 (NG21), which will be held online on May 26-28th.

Meet the Nordic Publishers: Here’s What You Need to Know!
In preparation for the Canada @ Nordic Game Mission, Interactive Ontario, in collaboration with the provincial trade associations members of the Canadian Interactive Alliance (CIAIC) and the Trade Commissioner Service of Canada (TCS) are hosting an informal session with Nordic publishers to prepare Canadian Video Game studios for the B2B event at Nordic Game on May 26-28th.
Paradox Interactive, Raw Fury Thunderful Group, and Embracer Group, will present their current interests and provide tips on pitching Video Games to Nordic publishers.
Date: May 17th, 2021 Time: 12pm EST
Zoom Meeting Information will be provided via Google Invite.
In addition to the Mission, Interactive Ontario, with support from Ontario Creates, Canada Media Fund, and the Trade Commissioner Service of Canada are offering additional events that will help Video Games studios to understand and build potential partnerships with the Nordic Video Games community.

Part of the iLunch Series
Interactive Ontario invites Video Game studios to join us on April 29th at 12 pm EST for a discussion featuring experienced panelists who will highlight distribution and business opportunities within the Nordic Video Game industry.
The session will cover:
- Market trends regarding the Video Game Industry in the Nordic countries
- Nordic business do’s and don’ts to support success
- Opportunities for Canadian Video Game studios within the Nordic Video Game industry
- Introduction the Nordic Game 2021 virtual conference and what benefits Canadian attendees can expect from their participation
- Presentation from a Nordic Publisher with a Canadian subsidiary

Starting on May 6th, Interactive Ontario will be hosting a series of Pitch Training sessions where 10 Ontario Video Game studios will work on perfecting their pitch over the course of three sessions in preparation for the Nordic Game.
Those who have registered for the Canada Mission to Nordic Game will be given top priority. Deadline to apply for the mission is May 7th, 2021.
Jennifer McIlory, President, McIlroy and Company, will work with the 10 studios to hone their pitch strategy and delivery in preparation for the conference.
Session Breakdown
- Coaching Session – May 11th, 2021 at 5:00pm -7:00 pm (2 hours)
- Practice Session – May 13, 2021 at 5:00 pm-7:00 pm (2 hours)
- Mock Session with Seasoned Industry Experts – May 19, 2021 at 6:00 pm-9:00 pm (3 hours)
