The Honourable Michael Coteau, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport, will address delegates at the first day of GameON: Ventures (formerly GameON: Finance), a conference dedicated to the business of video games. GameON: Ventures takes place on September 29 & 30 at the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts in Toronto.

“We are delighted to welcome Minister Coteau to GameON: Ventures,” said Interactive Ontario Executive Director Christa Dickenson.

Ontario’s interactive digital media industry generates over one billion dollars in revenue annually and supports 17,000 FTE jobs. The conference, entering its eighth year, provides attendees with actionable information about business models, marketing, distribution and partnerships that will help them to grow their companies.

“The interactive digital media sector is an important contributor to our province’s economy,” said Minister Coteau. “Ontario has one of the most attractive cultural media tax credit programs both nationally and internationally. I look forward to speaking with the creators, developers and entrepreneurs who are leading this forward-thinking industry.”

Conference passes are currently on sale, including a special rate for small/emerging studios. More information can be found at gameonventures.io.
