After 7 successful years hosting GameON: Finance, Interactive Ontario will re-brand the conference for 2015 as GameON: Ventures. The new name better reflects the conference’s move away from a sole focus on investment to a discussion on all aspects of the video game industry.

“The video game industry is constantly evolving,” said Interactive Ontario Executive Director Christa Dickenson. “Game companies are using a variety of innovative business models to grow their companies. The updates to the conference will ensure that we’re addressing this reality with our content, providing a forum for practical knowledge sharing.”

GameON: Ventures will take place on September 29 & 30, 2015 at the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts in downtown Toronto.

This year’s conference will provide video game executives, professional services providers, policymakers, investors and researchers with information on marketing, distribution, partnerships, HR, financing and more. The first wave of speakers includes:

  • Jean-Michel Blottière – Games For Change Europe
  • Tom Emrich – We Are Wearables
  • Kelly Shaw – Ooka Island
  • Krista Jones – MaRS Venture Services
  • with many more to come!

Interactive Ontario is currently soliciting panel and speaker submissions from the games community – the form is available here.
