On September 29 & 30 in Toronto, we’ll be hosting GameON: Ventures – North America’s top business forum for the entertainment industry, connecting developers, innovators, investors and industry leaders. You don’t want to miss it – and here are 10 reasons why:

An expanded view
We’ve renamed the conference this year to highlight our new programming direction. Instead of focusing on finance, we’re tackling everything to do with the business of games – including analytics, marketing, collaboration and more.

Fantastic speakers
We have an amazing lineup of speakers, from leading companies like Ubisoft, Glu Mobile,TapjoyMicrosoftSkybound (creators of The Walking Dead games), Games for Change Europe and We Are Wearables.

International perspectives
In addition to speakers from across Canada, we’ll have experts from the US, France, the UK and Hungary.

1×1 Meetings
GameON: Ventures delegates will have the chance to pre-book up to five 1×1 Meetings with select speakers. Meetings will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, so the earlier you register for the conference the wider the pool of speakers to meet with will be.

Valuable sessions
Wearables R Us, A Morning at the Museum, Of Monetization and Ad Networks and Studio Culture: Managing Creativity are just a few of the intriguing topics we’ll delve into at the conference.

Special rate for small studios
If your company is new to the scene, you can apply for our special Small Studio rate of just $199 here.

A fantastic venue
The St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts (pictured above) is conveniently located close to Union Station and offers comfortable seating, plenty of meeting and lounge areas and a separate space for meals.

Tons of networking
With our roundtable lunches, networking breaks, 1×1 Meetings and receptions (more on those below), you’ll have many chances to meet and make deals.

Receptions
A conference on the business of games can’t be all work, so our cocktail receptions – brought to you byBig Blue Bubble – will shake things up.

Opportunities in new fields
As gamification strategies are increasingly employed by other industries, opportunities for game developers are opening up in these spaces. Sessions like Game Hybridization: The New Alliance between Health IT and Edu-tech Companies will help highlight these new revenue streams.
