About Nathan Vella
Nathan Vella is one of the co-founders of Capy and up until recently was the studios' Art Director. Recently he moved into the role of President, and runs the studio with the help of the other co-founders Matt Repetski, Anthony Chan, Sean Lohrisch and Kris Piotrowski.
Nathan is a Ryerson University Film grad, was addicted to Tribes 1, plays Cammy in Street Fighter 4, enjoys long walks on the beach and holding hands.
About Capy
Capybara Games (otherwise known as Capy) is an independent developer from the little indie-hub of Toronto, Canada. From humble beginnings in the local IGDA chapter, Capy went on to create a slew of award-winning mobile games, including the 2008 IGF Mobile best game and IGN Wireless’ 2007 Best Puzzle and Fighting games.
Since then, Capy has been spreading the gaming love to iPhone, Nintendo DS™, Playstation®Network and Wiiware™. 2009 will see the release of Capy-developed Might & Magic Clash of Heroes for Nintendo DS, IGN ‘Best PS3 Puzzle Game of E3’ winner Critter Crunch on PlayStation Network, and a unique little Wiiware title.
About GIG
The Go Into Games Series will bring games industry professionals into classrooms across Ontario. The purpose of GIG is to provide students who are studying video game development an opportunity to connect with professionals currently working in the industry. It also allows business leaders to form relationships with students who will become their future employees and educates students about the types of employment opportunities that may exist with Ontario game studios upon graduation.
