Our award winning, and internationally renowned Toronto animated entertainment company, is looking for a Unity Programmer to help us build a spooky yet fun, interactive game for children between the ages of 8-12.

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for all technology on the project.
• Determines technical resources required to complete the project.
• Work together with the Producer and Designer to ensure consistency when setting the technical guidelines to follow for the design of a game.
• Write feature specifications and implementation plans according to design requirements.
• Do hands-on coding when necessary. The development team will be small to start, so some involvement in day to day programming tasks will likely be required.
• Accountable for overall code quality; ensure code is cross platform and reusable and testable; ensure code is reviewed.
• Preempt potential areas of risk affecting product quality and timeliness.
• Participate in staffing, technology/tool choices, risk evaluation and dependencies to ensure the best quality is achieved.

Qualifications Qualifications:
• You are passionate about video games, a team player and driven!
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
• Must have shipped at least two or more iOS titles as a Technical Director or two or more titles as a Lead or Senior Programmer.
• Proficiency with Mobile Gaming Technology, specifically the Unity game engine, as well as C++ (Visual C++ or Visual .NET) C#, Scripting, Java and other computer languages commonly utilized in video game development.
• Demonstrated knowledge of good software engineering practices.
• Project management skills demonstrated by the ability to define tasks in a well organized manner, based on proper resource and time management.
• Excellent detail-oriented, problem solving skills. Candidate must be able to quickly identify issues and resolve them.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all project members and senior management.
